Causes of nephritis include:

- Infections (e.g., bacterial, viral)
- Autoimmune disorders (e.g., lupus, vasculitis)
- Toxins (e.g., medications, chemicals)
- Genetic disorders

Symptoms may include:

- Hematuria (blood in the urine)
- Proteinuria (excess protein in the urine)

- Nausea and vomiting

Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may involve medications, lifestyle changes, and dialysis or kidney transplantation in severe cases.
